It seems like everyone in college is on adderall. Has anyone else made this same observation? We all know they can't all have ADHD so is it physicians just writing scripts becuase they can't be bothered with people's nonsense? I personally know of people that take adderall and it has done nothing but cause severe problems and addictions. So why do doctors prescribe adderall so frequently?

Just wondering..Could you give the name/names of medicine which is good for curing stomach aches?Thanks

I tried doing a search, but it won't work. I was just wondering what kind of pets people have, why they chose that one, and how it is working out. I'd love to get a pet if possible after I get settled into medical school. Thanks for the input.

has anyone taken biochem shelf? i have biochemm shelf next week, any advice would be appretiated.

what is the difference between littman stethoscopes and sprague?  Is one stethoscope better than the other.  I have noticed that littmans seem a little more pricey than spragues.  Are the littman stethoscopes really worth the extra money?

First off, I'm just a pre-med student with a question that I thought you guys could easily answer: I know that antihistamines like diphenhydramine are CNS depressants. This would mean it decreases heart rate. BUT, I've taken it before and had an increase in heart rate. I did some reading and found out that antihistamines have anti-muscarinic effects, which I presume will only affect the parasympathetic nervous system. Since HR is controlled by the vagus nerve, a decrease in parasymp. activity should increase HR.

could anyone please give me some help on how to improve my mcat scores?  So far my mcat scores have not been too stellar.  if anyone could provide any MCAT advice or help or even some resources that you have used to help with the MCATS i would greatly appreciate it. 

What is the order of importance for paramters that are taken into account for a medical student for residency? grades/ step 1/ extracurriculars /letters of rec/ etc,

Do residency programs consider your MCAT score in any way as part your application? I know this may be like a grad school looking at your SAT scores (and therefore a silly question) but I want to keep my bases covered. Thanks.
