I'm not sure if that is ture, but is that true that excess use of anesthesia on patient is detrimnetal for his health or have side effect. Please shed some light on this issue. Thanks.

A 2nd year medical student asked me at my school how hard anesthesiology was, and I found that while I have had some experience in the field, I could not give him a good answer. It seems that with CRNAs doing it and the like that it is not the hardest field to go into. Sill, everyone is always too quick to point out how bad things can go in a second. What is everybody's opinion on this?

Do you think still pentathal sodium is being used for dog anesthesia? Or what else we can use it to sedate the dogs...

Just curious as to what you think of them. I heard there is a trend towards these surgicenters expanding to small outpt/inpt hospitals. Furthermore I hear physicians are owning and running them. Some say it is better for pt and physician satisfaction and there is $ to be made.

What do you think? Is this something we should be looking into, or should we be hoping/trying to get into this type of situation?
