hospitalist salaries
I've heard some pretty wide ranging numbers when it comes to the salary a hospitalist can make. A program director once told me to expect to make about $180k as a hospitalist, a chief resident once mentioned that he got a $220k offer, and a IM junior resident once told me that a friend of his got a $300k offer from a hospital in the south-east. What other numbers have people heard as far as hospitalist salaries

That very true, the starting salary may wary from loaction to location, like you can't expect huge pay in rural areas. Second you experience is what counts the most. Good luck!

Wow. That is a huge amount! What does a Hospitalist have to do though to earn that much?

I dont consider it as huge amount.Once you are into the profession with 3-4 years of experience, you can even pocket $400-$500 easily.
